We are all facing a truly unprecedented situation due to the current COVID-19. Over the past few months, the global pandemic has impacted businesses in nearly every corner of the world. We understand that this is a stressful time for most of you.
From one hand, with regard to the pandemic, Greece has been an example to be followed. To date, Greece counts about 4.000 cases and about 200 deaths owing to Covid-19. On the other hand, due to the lockdown and the difficult economical state in Greece, we are still trying to return to our normalcy.
In spite of Greece’s decennial economical crisis, the last three years we experienced a period of upswing, also in the tourism industry, increasing the annual number of visits.
We, the Meteora Photo Tour team, will continue to do our best for our cause. That is, to welcome, to host and help every visitor-photographer who wants to live an experience, to photograph the area of Meteora and make friends in this small corner of the planet.
Your health is our top priority and our team will ensure compliance with the health and security measures, without affecting our services’ quality. We want our guests to be safe both during and after the activities.
Our photography tours take place in a 7 or 9-seat vehicle, in the area of Meteora, Zagori and Lake Plastira in central Greece, which means that, as in any mini Van, the distances between the passengers’ seats are in a short distance.
For this reason, until the end of 2020, we will change all our tours to a limited number of passengers: two people (couple) or a family up to 4 people.
We will try to avoid contact of our cameras during photo tours and any suggestions by exchanging cameras.
In addition to the above, we are taking additional measures based on regulations of the World Health Organization:
** Stringent Cleaning ** – We’ve increased the frequency of disinfecting surfaces and high traffic areas between each tour, and hand sanitizer will be available to all of our guests.
** Social Distancing ** – Guests will stay at a safe 6-foot / 2 meters distance during all points of the tour. We also ensure that all staff members will be wearing the necessary PPE.
** Wellness Checks ** – Employees receive daily wellness checks to ensure they are healthy and symptom-free. If you or anyone in your group is experiencing symptoms, we will work directly with you to cancel or reschedule your tour.
Remember that due to the small number of participants on our tours, we can be flexible.
Don’t forget that you can choose a Hiking Tour where you won’t have to get in a vehicle.
We also have the option of Customized Tours so that you can choose at your will.
