We take you on a journey to spectacular viewpoints as we give you tips and tricks to capture the best photos before and after the Meteora sunrise against the rocks and monasteries.During your Greece vacation, we will make sure that you not only get to see one of the most extraordinary places in the world but have the opportunity to capture the best photos, with our guidance and expertise. This will all happen during one of the most advantageous moments of the day, as the sun rises over Meteora.

What to expect in this Sunrise Photography Tour in Meteora

The Meteora Sunrise Photo Tour starts at 1 hour before Sunrise. You will take the advantage to photograph the Meteora Sunrise and continue after, in the morning light and you will have the rest of the day to explore the area at your leisure. You will view the monasteries and suspended, eternal rocks from unique points with unobstructed views in a peaceful and non-crowd morning. If you want to visit one of the monasteries you can choose the Morning Photo Tour.

What level of photography skills do I need to have?

Our tours are suitable all levels, from amateur to professional photographers. The tour is led by Christos and Konstantina, professional photographers and Meteora locals. There will be discussions and tips on composition, different angles, technical aspects and everyday usage of your camera and some historical facts about the area of Meteora.

What is the level of difficulty for this tour?

The tour will be conducted by vehicle combined with easy paced walking and small to medium elevation changes along the way. There will be some walking on uneven routes so make sure you wear appropriate shoes.

Should I bring a tripod?

It is recommended that you bring a tripod, or ask us to bring one for you!

What if I don't have a professional camera?

Don’t worry. We are able to teach you tips and tricks on your compact camera, smart phone, ipad or tablet too.

What type of lenses are recommended to photograph the Meteora area?

It is recommended to use wide angle and telephoto lenses when shooting the Meteora area. You can use ploarizer or ND filters to enhance images of rivers and waterfalls (depending on the season). These are recommended for Plastiras Lake and Zagori mountain tours.

Can i do a photo tour with my iphone - smart phone?

Yes you can! We are able to do the tour using smartphone, iphone - ipad or tablet too.

What will we do in the case that it is raining weather conditions are not suitable for photography?

In case of heavy rain we can reschedule for the next day or we can cancel the tour and give you a refund. If the rain starts and stops or it is a just a drizzle we will use umbrellas or take a coffee break and continue when the rain subsides. Keep in mind that sometimes in the art of photography unstable weather can give us opportunities for the best photos.

Can I book a photo tour with my child?

100% refund if you cancel your reservation up to 24 hours prior to the start time of the tour
50% refund if you cancel your reservation up to 12 hours prior to the start time of the tour
Unused features are non-refundable.
No show ups forfeit the entire payment.
Should Meteora Photo Tour need to cancel a tour, any payments will be fully refunded.

We decided to take the 4 hour sunrise photo tour. Christos picked us up at 5 am and showed us the best spots in Meteora to snap beautiful sunrise pictures. Once the sun was up, he showed us the best spots to photograph the beautiful monasteries of Meteora. Outside of the tour guiding, he gave us many great tips and tricks to snap the best possible pictures. Kalambaka is a spectacular and surreal place because of the jaw dropping views of Meteora and its wonderful people. I decided to booked a sunset photo tour to surprise my partner and it was the best decision ever! Konstantina and Christos delivered a great experience, stunning spots and beautiful pictures. We are going to be forever grateful to them. This is a wonderful City but when you find people and professionals like them you know your experience is going to surpass all the expectations! Konstantina and Christos introduced themselves as tour guides and picked us up to go on a “sunset tour”. They drove us passed the popular busy spots and brought us to a secluded area to see “the best sunset in town”. It sure was! Moments later, I was ENGAGED! At which point I looked back and saw Konstantina and Christos working their camera magic. They even brought us champagne and gifts! I can’t begin to tell you how kind and warm hearted they were. It was touching to see them be so moved. Given the fact we were a gay couple in a religious town, they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. I later found out my fiancé and them worked for moths to plan the surprise proposal. From location scouting, to the time and place. They worked with us every step of the way. Honestly they feel like fiends. And the pictures you ask? It’s difficult to find words to describe how they were able to capture the emotion and the essence of the moment. From my shocking laughter, to the big question, and the kiss. I am forever grateful to them.
