What to expect in this Sunset Photography Tour in Meteora
The Sunset tour starts about 4 hours prior to sunset and finishes after. Our tour will begin from the shooting notable, ancient churches at the foot of Meteora with a background of dimming sunlight. You will take advantage of the softer afternoon lighting as well as the mystical lighting at the golden hour. You will photograph from many spots all the Monasteries of Meteora from outside and depends on the season you will visit one Monastery from inside. The day will be properly wrapped up with an epic sunset shoot up on the Meteora rocks! This experience will leave you breathless and is not something to be missed!
Our tours are suitable all levels, from amateur to professional photographers. The tour is led by Christos and Konstantina, professional photographers and Meteora locals. There will be discussions and tips on composition, different angles, technical aspects and everyday usage of your camera and some historical facts about the area of Meteora.
The tour will be conducted by vehicle combined with easy paced walking and small to medium elevation changes along the way. There will be some walking on uneven routes so make sure you wear appropriate shoes.
It is recommended that you bring a tripod, or ask us to bring one for you!
Don’t worry. We are able to teach you tips and tricks on your compact camera, smart phone, ipad or tablet too.
It is recommended to use wide angle and telephoto lenses when shooting the Meteora area. You can use ploarizer or ND filters to enhance images of rivers and waterfalls (depending on the season). These are recommended for Plastiras Lake and Zagori mountain tours.
Yes you can! We are able to do the tour using smartphone, iphone - ipad or tablet too.
In case of heavy rain we can reschedule for the next day or we can cancel the tour and give you a refund. If the rain starts and stops or it is a just a drizzle we will use umbrellas or take a coffee break and continue when the rain subsides. Keep in mind that sometimes in the art of photography unstable weather can give us opportunities for the best photos.
If a child is in your group please send us an email or give us a call for special price and accommodations.
